Las Vegas Aces at New York Liberty – Game 2

  • Leg 1: Liberty -3.5 (-112)
  • Leg 2: Over 164 Total Points (-108)
  • Leg 3: Breanna Stewart To Score 20+ Points (-158)
  • Leg 4: Breanna Stewart 1+ Made Threes (-450)
  • Leg 5: Sabrina Ionescu To Score 15+ Points (-240)
  • Leg 6: A’ja Wilson To Record Double-Double (-175)

The Liberty picked up an 87-77 victory in Game 1 for the cover and Over result. New York hit 50.0% (30-of-60) from the floor while going 42.1% (8-of-19) from behind the arc. The Liberty were also 82.6% (19-of-23) from the charity stripe.

New York saw Breanna Stewart roll up a game-high 34 points on 12-of-19 shooting while knocking down a pair of 3-pointers and she was 8-of-9 from the free-throw line to go along with her five rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a blocked shot in 36 minutes. Jonquel Jones was good for the game’s only double-double, going for 13 points and 12 rebounds while posting two assists, a steal, and a blocked shot. In fact, four of New York’s five starters each had one block, with Sabrina Ionescu even getting into the act. She was also an efficient 9-of-15 from the field, and 3-of-6 from downtown, finishing with 21 points, five assists, four rebounds, and two steals while firing in three triples in the home victory.

Las Vegas struggled offensively, hitting 43.3% (29-of-67) from the field, while going 28.0% (7-of-25) from the perimeter. Kelsey Plum led the way with 24 points on a solid 9-of-17 shooting night, and she was good for four triples. Superstar A’ja Wilson also chipped in with 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting, but the Liberty actually did a pretty good job holding her down. She did have six rebounds with five assists and two blocked shots.

Wilson is a good bet to bounce back with a double-double. At these odds, it’s hard to pass up in a five-leg SGP. We’ll go with the other superstar B-Stew to not only get to 20 points again but simply to hit a single 3-pointer or better. In addition, Ionescu is a solid play to get to at least 15 points in Game 2, and she is a lock if she gets into a rhythm behind the arc, too.

Lastly, we’ll go Over again in Game 2. The total went high in Game 1, which was a departure from the 3-0 Under run in the regular-season meetings. This 6-leg parlay is a good bet for the chance to multiply up by nearly 11 times.

Parlay Odds: +1087

Connecticut Sun at Minnesota Lynx – Game 2

  • Leg 1: Lynx -5 (-112)
  • Leg 2: Under 152.5 Total Points (-112)
  • Leg 3: Kayla McBride To Score 15+ Points (+114)

The No. 3 seed Sun surprised the No. 2 seed Lynx in Game 1, seizing home-court advantage for Connecticut with a 73-70 victory. But, that’s no surprise at all, as the road team has won each of the past three meetings in this series, and the road team is 5-0 ATS in the past five meetings dating back to last season’s playoff series.

Connecticut actually hit just 41.3% (31-of-75) from the field, while hitting 40.9% (9-of-22) from behind the arc. It’s even more miraculous that the Sun won considering they went to the free-throw line just three times for the entire game.

Connecticut had two double-doubles, as Dewanna Bonner had 10 points and 11 rebounds despite an ugly 4-of-17 shooting night. Alyssa Thomas nearly had a triple-double, finishing with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists with three steals in 39 minutes. She also was an efficient 8-of-12 from the field and DiJonai Carrington just missed joining the double-double club, going for 13 points with nine rebounds and two steals.

Minnesota shortened the bench and played just seven players in Game 1. It only shot 41.5% (27-of-65) from the field, and an even worse 25.0% (5-of-20) from downtown. It did get to the free throw line 10 more times, hitting for nine more points at the stripe, but the Sun was a plus-7 in rebounding, and it had two fewer turnovers, too. And, the Lynx were minus-8 in the assists department, too.

Napheesa Collier had just an OK game by her standards, going for 19 points with nine rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a blocked shot. Bridget Carleton was a solid sidekick with 17 points on a solid 6-of-10 shooting with three triples. However, Kayla McBride was a little off, going for just 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting, while misfiring on four of her five treys. We’ll look for McBride to get back on track in a big way in Game 2.

Roll with Minnesota to square this series, and look for an Under result. Both of these teams know how to defend the basket and limit teams from the wing. Keeping it simple, we’ll back McBride at plus-money to get to at least 15 points. That’s it. That’s the parlay.
