Xavier vs Pittsburgh: NCAA Tournament Same Game Parlay Picks

Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook

(3) Xavier vs. (11) Pittsburgh

Leg 1 - Pittsburgh +4.5 (-102

The Pittsburgh Panthers have already won two games in the NCAA Tournament. They’ll look to get into the Sweet 16 after knocking off Mississippi State and Iowa State in the first two games in the Midwest Region.

The Panthers haven’t really shown off their offense but they are shooting 36.1% from three and 51.8% from inside the arc this season. Pittsburgh has also shot 76.2% from the foul line while limiting turnovers to 16.5%. The Panthers take a lot of threes. If those threes go down at their normal rate, they’ll get ahead quickly in this game. Xavier has allowed teams to shoot 35.6% from downtown this season.

On the other hand, Xavier’s three-point shooting is excellent too. However, the Musketeers made just two threes in their first game against Kennesaw State. A lot of those looks weren’t even contested; they will be today.

Leg 2 - Over 151.5 (-110

Xavier should still be able to earn some three-point shots. They’ll play better offense than they did against Kennesaw State. Pittsburgh won’t earn many turnovers and are weak on the defensive glass, giving up 28.9% of offensive rebounds this season. The Musketeers are a fast offense that usually shoots very well from the field.

They should get back on track in this game but Pittsburgh’s offense is almost just as efficient. The Panthers are better from the foul line and love to shoot from deep. Pittsburgh should get quality looks from downtown and when they get those, the Panthers usually deliver.

I’ll grab the Over in this game.

Leg 3 - Blake Hinson Over 13.5 Points (-113)

Blake Hinson is the second-leading scorer on the Panthers this season. He’s averaged 15.2 points per game, but his line is sitting at 13,5.

Hinson shot just 1-for-8 against Iowa State and finished with five points but he took seven shots from deep and usually shoots about 38% from downtown. Xavier doesn’t defend the three nearly as well as Iowa State does. Hinson should break out in tonight’s game and get out of his shooting slump from deep. That will allow him to get Over 13.5 points and help cash this Same Game Parlay ticket.
