Unibet Sportsbook Review & Promo Code

Unibet Sportsbook has closed operations in the U.S.

About Unibet Sportsbook

Like many of its international competitors, Unibet Sportsbook arrived in the U.S. wide-scale sports betting market with decades of experience in the industry. With the competition for sports betting revenues heating up by the week, every bit of experience matters. Unibet might not necessarily be the best all-around sports wagering app in the American space, but it offers an almost perfect balance between providing a comfortable experience for new users and efficient betting markets for the more experienced players.

Unibet was originally founded in 1997 by Swedish businessman Anders Ström, who operated the company out of his London home. The company gained plenty of momentum in subsequent years, taking its first telephone bets in 1998 and launching an online betting website the following year.

Unibet, part of the Kindred Group and headquartered in Malta, entered the U.S. market in 2019, less than a year after the Supreme Court ruled the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act was unconstitutional. Unibet initially launched in New Jersey with an online casino product before introducing a mobile/online sportsbook. It is now operating in six other states as well.

Customer Service

Unibet Sportsbook offers live chat, phone and email support, with the live chat and phone options operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Unibet also offers a detailed FAQ for sports bettors, complete with a separate “Help” section contained within.

There are, however, two concerns about Unibet’s overall customer service. You’ll need to do a little digging in order to find Unibet’s phone and email support information (other sportsbooks make it a little easier on the user), and there have been sporadic complaints about wait times for phone and live chat support being a little on the long side. Customer service is an essential part of any sportsbook offering – and while Unibet checks all the boxes in terms of variety and availability of help, it could stand to improve here.
